"The Fugitives deliver the masterful album, Everymen"

"Really incredible songwriting and producing skills on 'Everymen'. It sounds like a classic already."

 - Hangover Hill Records

"Taking the best of classic rock, and taking care to bring it all to the present without losing anything along the way. There seem to be no other examples like it."

- Ivan Ananyin | vk.com/playspotify

"Some classic songwriting and great harmonies."

- Charlie Ashcroft. Presenter | Amazing Radio

"This single 'In Your Life' is just so unique and beautiful. It reminds me of ELO, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty. It's got beautiful harmonies, it's touching, it's got everything that you want to know, see and hear in a band."

- DJ Dino Bedrocker | Spire Radio | The Music Shindig

"The single really reminds me of proper songwriting, in a progressive way, using old methods and bringing them right up to date with modern recording techniques."

- DJ Matt Black | Black On Track Radio

"Well produced and arranged. ‘Extremities’ has great backing vocals, great texture and good timely changes - you have put the song across in the first 1 minute and 30 secs, which is perfect for first time listeners."

- Chris White (of The Zombies fame)

"From the moment we hear the delightful Farfisa organ opening to "Destiny" we know we’re in for a special harmonic and sonic journey. There’s a wonderful retro feel to this song with it’s old style keyboard soundscapes, interesting and unexpected chord changes and thoughtful lyrics. It's seriously well produced too. But this is a proper song - like those songs of old which were penned with thought, care and passion. It feels like McCartney could have written this actually. Not dark enough for Lennon but light and impish enough for Paul. However the best is saved 'til last…and it comes when we reach the coda which is a wholly magical and mesmeric third act in “Destiny”. The piano plays entrancing descending broken chords…a dynamic descending bass line comes in and a heavenly vocal shines forth. As the drums double time the rhythm and the vocals harmonise you are lifted heavenward. All I can say is I just didn’t want it to end..."

- Tamara Barschak (Pianist / Songwriter / Film soundtrack composer)

"I think 'Extremities' stands out as a potential hit single. It shows Matthew's ability to create beautifully layered harmonies that really work with the lyrics. The song is both moving and uplifting and has universal appeal. I can imagine a boy band doing a wonderful version of it. Matthew has written songs that I believe could be big hits if matched with the right artists."

- Kelly Davis (music festival organizer)

"SO MUCH wanted to say how wonderful the CD is - very, very impressed. Truly great songs and beautifully sung and performed. Matt stands out as a real star. Played it to an 18 year old boy and 25 yr old girl yesterday and they just said 'WOW'."

- Sue Greville-Collins - Languedoc, France

"Great songs, great hooks, they grow on you. I still have them in my head."

- Ronny Morris (Digitak Mastering, Brunswick GA, USA)

"Near the end of "Destiny" there is a section when the voices are silent and there’s just a simple Bach-like figure - a tune with a rhythm but without harmonies - which just takes off. Pure magic. And then the voices return in a hymn-like chorale that fills the world with heavenly light. This is a great work, and it will succeed in lifting souls out of misery into paradise."

- Andrew Corrigan, Southgate, London.

"More great tracks from 'The Fugitives'. This group write such diverse songs and yet have a really strong identity. I've been playing these tracks over and over - they hook you in straight away and I was singing along by the second listen... So nice to hear a song in which you can actually hear the words - especially as the lyrics are so interesting and cleverly written. Love it!"

- Gabi Maddocks (Director of The Playing Space drama school)

"I can't stop humming "This That & The Other". It's got a wonderful 70's vibe that I cant put my finger on. And that chorus and sweeping piano is WOW! Reminds me a little of "Cast Your Fate To The Wind" from the Peanuts cartoon strip."

- Liam Rigby (Music journalist)

"Profound, intelligent lyrics and great tunes. Superb."

- ANW, London, UK

"Wow!!! Procol Harum collide with the Kinks and produce a wonderful offspring. This is a very refreshing change from the bulls**t you are sometimes subjected to when you do reviews. Interesting lyrics and a vocalist that makes them work just right with the music. Well written. Well executed."

- Boptherabbit, Merritt Island, Florida

"It grew on me like a 5th grade crush."

- DLEO, Denver, Colorado

"Some challenging, well performed songs."

- Dan Goodman (Glisk Records, Seattle, Washington)

"Ha! Sounds almost like Paul and John singing!"

- DeleveledGTR, Florence, South Carolina

"Reminds me a lot of Billy Joel and Elton John. Its got a real brit-pop feel."

- Bipolar, San Diego, California

"Insane vocals. Sounds like John Lennon through a fan. Mix is good. Sounds like a 60s vinyl which is pretty awesome. They should write a musical!! Sounds like theater-rock. Good job."

- Cooljkaz, Los Angeles, California

"Loved 'This that and the other' ~ a fab song and sound. Loved the keyboards and Matthew has a great voice. It took me to another era, like The Small Faces. I was tapping my feet. I really think The Fugitives have something unique as a sound."

- Gilly Moor, Notts, UK

"THE FUGITIVES are awesome.... Their music is timeless… The SONGS are all unique in every way, at the same time soothing enough to relieve me from stress."
